Exploring the Pacific Northwest Landscape

Tree at Lake Crescent

Posted December 24th, 2007 in [hide]

Tree at Lake Crescent

Some of the cliffs holding the lake in are very steep. All are covered in moss and fern, kissed with life-giving water. Here we have a pull-out along the southern edge of the lake, across from the visitor lodge.

Surrounding the lake in every direction are waterfalls streaming down the sides of these cliffs and the earth between them.

  1. All dark and forboding like that, it could come out of The Hobbit. Plus I like the stone work in that wall at the bottom.
