Star Trails Over Lake Union
Posted September 30th, 2008 in [hide]Only the brightest stars manage to leave trails behind them, illuminating their paths across the night sky. These are notoriously difficult to photograph in an urban environment, or anywhere near enough to one to suffer light pollution. Along with the narrow image, this means star trails don’t reduce well. A larger version of this image will be posted shortly in the Seattle gallery.
In the bottom-right corner over the frame, below the bridge and above the signature, are more trails. These are from an Argosy cruise ship, adorned in Christmas lights.
