The First Drop is a Short One

Multnomah itself is sourced mostly from underground springs, with snowmelt for good measure. Hikers can follow the stream further into the mountains, and find other treasures … even if they’re less spectacular ones.
Officially the waterfall is a two stage drop; this pre-first step isn’t visible from the ground. Nor is the final nine feet impressive given the whole it stands before…
