Wahkeena Falls Up Close

Colorful green and yellow moss paint the side of a cliff as Wahkeena Falls pours by, under a bridge of sorts on the trail to nearby Multnomah Falls. About half an hour east of Portland, along the Columbia River Gorge, is what seems like the highest concentration of waterfalls on the planet. While this clearly isn’t the case, a person can’t be blamed for feeling that way in their presence.
