Near Wahclella Falls

Near Wahclella Falls

Wahclella Falls is a mile hike; this dam produces a small drop waterfall about halfway there. In all honesty, this is more picturesque than Wahclella itself.

  1. That’s just every kind of beautiful! This isn’t even the place you were going?

  2. Wahclella Falls is maybe 1/5 of a mile beyond the point I shot this, around a curve in the path. It’s a small and narrow plume rushing down a cliff at perhaps a 60 degree angle, feeding into this stream. The trail continues upward through the woods, giving a more and more dramatic view … unfortunately, it was pretty overcast this day, so photos including the sky were out of the question.
